What is Glaucoma?
In simple terms; Glaucoma is a condition where the Intra Ocular Pressure is higher than the physiological levels for the eyes that leads to damage of the retinal receptors and optic nerve atrophy which manifest in a gradual loss of visual field.
What Are The Symptoms?
There are many varieties of glaucoma, most early stages are silent except for acute narrow angle glaucoma which is usually associated with sever pain, headache and loss of vision.
Late stage glaucoma patient usually experiences shrinking visual field commonly known as Tunnel Vision.
What Should I do to Prevent It?
If you have a family history of Glaucoma, get eye exam sooner.

If you have other eye conditions such as trauma, inflammation, surgery etc. Ask your eye care professional to check you for glaucoma.
